Lately, I’ve been feeling my way around some more experimental tunes courtesy of Model 86’s hilariously long When You Realise People Are Not One Dimensional Characters In A Movie Of Your Life so I’ve decided to share one of them.
Somewhat unsurprisingly, “NEED 808” is a song driven by its carefree use of the Roland TR-808 drum machine, one of the mankind’s all-time greatest inventions. Much of the entire EP consists of Model 86 showing off his sampling and in this track he continues in the same vein with one sample chopped in the background on loop while displaying off his impeccable sound design through some great bird chirps and unusual synths.
