How Long Do Drugs Stay In Your System?

mdma mdma

So you’ve chosen to take a risk and pop molly before your festival tonight… but wait, your boss calls and tells you that there is going to be a mandatory drug test next week! Will it be out of your system in time, or are you royally screwed? Thankfully, many drugs are quite predictable in how long they stay in your system, and physicians have documented this.

Some drugs stay in your body longer than others, and if often varies depending on how drugs are searched for: whether your urine, blood or hair is analyzed. The type of drug also, obviously, varies on how long is stays in your system. Metabolism also plays a large part in how long drugs remain in your system; those with higher metabolisms are able to flush drugs from their system quicker than those with lower metabolisms, so take that into account. The dose is also taken into account.

Drug test are also not 100% accurate, but they get it right more times than not.

Cannabis: 7 to 30 days in urine; 90 days in hair; 14 days in blood
Cocaine: 3 to 4 days in urine; 90 days in hair; a day or two in blood
Heroin: 3 to 4 days in urine; 90 days in hair; about half a day in blood
LSD: Up to 3 days in urine; 3 days in hair; less than five hours in blood
MDMA: 3 to 4 days in urine; 90 days in hair; a day or two in blood
Methamphetamine: 3 to 6 days in urine; 90 days in hair; up to three days in blood

These numbers are strictly guidelines, and can vary from person to person. Use discretion when choosing to use illegal/illicit substances, and be careful of any appointments you have in the future.

  1. LSD can only be tested for in a spinal tap which is illegal in all 50 states. Nothing to worry about there.

  2. The doses of LSD are really small for the effect it gives and it shows up in such a miniscule amount in urine it’s near impossible to test. Almost all tests (government or employer issued) don’t test for LSD and it can’t be tested for in hair. The rest of these are probably pretty accurate but your LSD statistics are very inaccurate and misinformed.
