deadmau5 Confirms His Next Album Is “Pretty Much” Done

One of EDM’s most polarizing figures, deadmau5, is back in the headlines, but this time for the right reason. A common complaint against mau5’s antics is that he focuses too much on trolling and not enough on music, but it seems like he’s been doing just that. He took to Twitter today to address his near 24-hour silence on Twitter, surprising fans with some bits of information that have us excited.

Twitter user LevelUp confronted deadmau5 on his Twitter silence, to which Joel responded with:

And while everyone is excited for the upcoming mau5trap vs. Pryda stage at Tomorrowland, someone had to ask where the new music is at:

And much to our pleasure, deadmau5 confirmed his album is nearly finished, allowing him to focus on other aspects of his tour and live sets.

Unfortunately, there’s no additional, concrete information on the album, so we’ll have to wait for the specifics. It’s very likely that “Saved” and “Snowcone” will be on the album, as well. But with tour details in the works and confirmation that the album is near-ready, we can safely assume that more information will be coming very soon. Stay tuned for updates on a track list, release date, and more as it comes in!
