Your EDM Premiere: Arno Cost feat. River – Coming Alive (Exit Friendzone Remix)

Exit Friendzone has been one of my favorite duos in progressive house for a number of years. Well, since Hardwell supported their debut single “Iris” in his radio show Hardwell on Air, anyway. Following the success of “Iris,” the duo pushed to new heights with huge remixes for artists like Mako and XYLØ, and eventually made their way onto Nicky Romero‘s Protocol Recordings earlier this year with their song “Crossfire.”

We’re honored and excited to premiere Exit Friendzone’s remix of Arno Cost‘s “Coming Alive,” which marks the duo’s second Protocol release. Exit Friendzone’s take on the track keeps a hefty chunk of styles from the original, like its heavy piano and elegant strings, but manages to flip it in the unique way that the duo always manages to do. Make no mistake, this remix is an absolute club smasher, somewhat reminiscent of Shaun Frank‘s 2015 future house hit “Time.” Though this is the duo’s first attempt with future house, we couldn’t be more happy with the result.
