A new Kickstarter project dubbed WAVES Nx looks to be the future of audio technology by being the “first application to bring personalized 3D sound to any pair of headphones.”
Now, 3D sound has been done before by the OSSIC X headphones, but the new project by WAVES aims to bring that technology into all headphones so you don’t have to purchase the OSSIC X.
It’s an application so using it looks to be fairly simple – even if the technology behind it isn’t! You can install it on either your mobile device or your computer, and once it’s been set up it can recreate a three-dimensional experience “as listening to sound in the real world” on any set of headphones.
