Aphex Twin Releases First Music Video In 17 Years

Aphex Twin just released a music video for the first time in 17 years, and it’s thoroughly…interesting.

Plucked from Twin’s forthcoming EP, Cheetah, the video is set to the mind-burgling “CIRKLON3.” It’s Aphex Twin through and through, and in typical out-there fashion, the video was directed and shot by an imaginative 12-year-old.

Taking cues from the vibes of Waking Life and A Scanner Darkly, the eight minute video is a conceptual feast, but we can’t even begin to decode its meaning.

“We are pleased to announce Aphex Twin’s first official music video in 17 years for the track CIRKLON3 [ Колхозная mix ]. Aphex Twin and Warp Records commissioned 12 year old Dublin resident Ryan Wyer to create the video for the track from the forthcoming Cheetah EP, after Aphex Twin discovered Wyer’s work through his YouTube channel epic1:40d Gaming.”
