Ticketmaster To Give Out Free Tickets As Part Of Lawsuit Settlement

In their latest bout of legal troubles, Ticketmaster has settled for $400 million, and is compensating its users with free tickets and discounts in the form of vouchers.

But how do you collect yours?

If you’ve purchased tickets from the online ticket retailer between October 21st, 1999 and February 27th, 2013, you may be eligible for these vouchers. While not everyone has received an email, if you log in to your Ticketmaster account and click on “Active Vouchers,” you’ll be able to see if you have a surprise waiting for you. Check here for more information on how to use the vouchers.

In addition to the vouchers, Ticketmaster will also be offering $42 million of discount codes over the next four years as part of the settlement. We’re no specialists, but if the settlement is costing them this much, we can only imagine how much they’ve been pocketing from inflated fees. And it’s not the first time Ticketmaster has faced criticism, historically battling Bruce Springsteen and Pearl Jam in the past.
