While most people probably know Hardwell as one of the undisputed faces of EDM worldwide, there’s also a big philanthropic side to the DJ/Producer which has seen him throw a record-breaking huge free show and donate proceeds to the very important cause of educating underprivileged youth in India via his United We Are Foundation.
Now, Hardwell takes on a new task having accepted an invitation from the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs to perform at the United Nations Headquarters in New York on June 16th closing out a special event hosted by the Johan Cruyff Foundation.
The organization, named after the late great Dutch football star, will be hosting an event which will discuss the impact that the global sport has in promoting global peace. Former Barcelona manager and Dutch football legend Frank Riijkaard will be among the retired football stars to promote the organization’s efforts.
