I’m not sure how or why this started, but somehow trance legend Darude’s classic hit 1999 “Sandstorm” has evolved into a long-running internet meme. Now, the classic tune is receiving some new recognition by way of the Sydney Youth Orchestra which has decided to cover the track.
The track was featured as part of their IGNITE | Symphonic Dance Anthems event on Sunday, and you can just hear the excitement in the crowd as they realize what’s about to come in the video below captured by fan Sam Duncan.
This is really one of those tracks that will literally never get old.
