Kygo’s new album Cloud Nine set the bar in 2016 for first week sales of an EDM album with 17,000 in its first week. Considering that digital/physical sales of albums and music have gone down across the board over the last couple of years, even 17,000 is now considered a good number for the first week.
However, that bar has quickly been raised again by none other than Flume, who sold over 19,000 copies of his new album Skin in the first week in the US alone. In his home of Australia, he was still able to best Kygo by selling 17,708 copies.
Skin is Flume’s second studio album, following his massively successful debut album which brought Flume international acclaim and notoriety. Skin features collaborations with Little Dragon, Beck, AlunaGeorge, MNDR, Vince Staples, Tove Lo, Vic Mensa, Kai, and more.
