You might expect WOLV Records, founded by Dyro, to be primarily house-driven in its releases. And for the most part, it is. But if you’re actually familiar with Dyro’s own sound, he’s quite eclectic. Blending styles of bass and house in his sets, he’s definitely one of our favorites of that tier of producer/DJs.
Now, the latest release on his WOLV imprint from Awoltalk, “Foes,” goes even further to cement his multi-genre interests with a blaring trap tune. The short and sweet trap banger is focused on heavy kicks and sweeping, modulated synths and a basic melody to get its point across. But it does so brilliantly.
