In the ongoing media frenzy that is the legal battle of Skrillex & Bieber vs White Hinterlands, Diplo was approached at LAX by TMZ about the situation.
Diplo had no part in the production of “Sorry,” and makes clear in this impromptu interview that he doesn’t have all the facts. Still, he assumes that the vocal was sampled, and if so, that it was cleared. He admits, however, that often times when so many producers and writers work on a single record, sometimes things can fall through the cracks.
“Somebody added it, then didn’t tell anybody,” surmised Diplo.
However, we’ve already seen from Skrillex himself that this supposedly wasn’t the case.
