The Him kicked off 2016 as one of our Artists To Watch here at Your EDM following the success of their hit single “Feels Like Home,” which currently boasts 4 million streams on Spotify (!) and 12.5 million on SoundCloud (!!!). Now, the Dutch duo looks to push on with a brand new single, “Don’t Leave Without Me,” with vocalist Gia Koka.
As always, the melodic/tropical house influences remain perfectly in the mix, but The Him opt to show off a different style with a more downtempo release that strays deeper down the deep-house path. Gia’s pop-vocals also shine through like a sunbeam parting the clouds on a warm summer day. And as far as summertime tropical jams go, this might be the one of festival season 2016.
The Him have been turning heads for some time now, and it’s only a matter of time before they really take off. I’m not a betting man, but if I were I’d definitely put some money on the talented Dutch duo to become the next breakthrough tropical house act.
