Netsky is poised to drop his third studio album, 3, on June 3. In anticipation of the release, NPR has premiered a new single between Netsky and Chromeo that absolutely bleeds funk and style.
Chromeo are the undisputed champions of electronic funk, and Netsky is one of the leaders of forward-thinking DnB in the world, and that fact is probably best demonstrated by “TNT.” The blend of DnB/funk is probably not something that you’d think would work, but of course Netsky makes it work.
Vocals from Chromeo and an uptempo, laid back rhythm with a terribly catchy hook and infectious bassline turn out to be components for the perfect collaboration.
