Top 5 Acts You Cannot Miss At Lightning In A Bottle

With the much anticipated, now sold out, Lightning in a Bottle festival less than a week away, it’s time to begrudgingly prioritize which artists you simply cannot miss and who you’ll have to wait another day to see. And with a lineup reeking of unparalleled talent, this is not an easy feat. Fortunately for us, the DoLab managed to create an almost seamless LIB schedule, featuring only some minor timing conflicts.

Although almost impossible, I’ve narrowed down a few musical acts that are absolute “musts” to get the full-blown woogie experience.

5. William Close & The Earth Harp Collective

(Friday 5/27 @ 11:45PM: Lightning Stage/Temple of Consciousness)

It’s almost imperative you experience the LIB musical legend, aka The Earth Harp Collective. Known as an “installation artist,” TEHC utilizes the surrounding festival architecture to create a visually stunning stringed instrument. Whether it be at the main Lightning Stage or at the more intimate Temple of Consciousness, this will be unlike any musical performance you have seen.

4. Mija

(Friday 5/27 @ 9:40PM: Thunder Stage)

This past year has been a wild success for the fast-rising OWSLA artist, Mija. I have yet to hear anything but good reviews about her festival and club sets. Ever since her amazing show at the DoLab stage at Coachella a few weeks ago, I’ve rbeen feigning for some more Mija in my life.

3. The Polish Ambassador

(Friday 5/27 @ 11:00PM: Thunder Stage)

Known for being a widely entertaining stage performer, The Polish Ambassador will be sure to take you on an unforgettable journey. Over the course of 17 albums and countless remixes, TPA has proven that there is no style of sound deemed untouchable by this artist. I’m excited to see what surprises he’ll throw our way this festival season.

2. Jamie XX

(Saturday 5/28 @ 12:10AM: Lightning Stage)

Currently being considered as one of EDM’s most talented producers, Jamie XX will surely be a show that leaves you with goosebumps. His solo set is bound to be jammed packed with his well-known originals.

1. Chet Faker

(Sunday 5/29 @ 12:30AM: Lightning Stage)

I am beyond excited to finally see this dedicated musician in action. His soulful and slow yet rhythmic and catchy sound is perfectly bound to capture the vibes of Lightning in a Bottle. And after his Ultra set, which was cut short due to technical difficulties, we were only left craving for more Chet Faker.
