In the quest to simplify all tasks and bring people together through social media, someone has invented yet another way to make friends. Even more convenient, this new technology fits in something you wear every single day: your shoes.
The brainchild of Rhode Island School of Design student Bojian Han, these new shoes are on a trajectory to be the next evolution of connecting like minds.
It all starts by downloading an app, which works to aggregate your social media presence to profile you as a person via your fitness, hobbies, tastes, fashion sense, everything. The app then formulates a unique color to depict your profile and displays it through LEDs on the shoe. 
Essentially, these are mood rings for your feet.
When someone with a similar color is near to you, the shoes will illuminate even more brightly and begin to blink, informing the wearer of a compatible neighbor. Watch the video for the full scoop.
