Sebastian Ingrosso’s “Dark River” has been around since at least mid-2015, making its way into sets and playlists and fans’ homes. 4 days ago, it received an official lyric video that makes us think that the time between the track first surfacing, and the time when the video debuted, is how long it took the animator’s drugs to wear off. Because this video is wild.
There’s no real storyline or common thread between any of the images found in this video, other than the caricature of Ingrosso shown intermittently therein. Wild color gradients and crazy imagery give the impression of a mescaline or LSD trip gone wrong (or horribly right), and acts almost at odds with the pointedly upbeat music.
