It’s pretty common knowledge that deadmau5 and Eric Prydz are long friends. Prydz, in fact, is probably one of the few producers of electronic music that Joel actually respects – the others being Steve Duda, Trent Reznor, etc.
The two of them have been in the news together recently for their B2B performance during Miami Music Week this year, as well as curating a stage together at Tomorrowland. It’s also been rumored that the two might have a collaborative track in the works, or at least were considering working on one.
Based on Twitter and Instagram posts from the both of them yesterday, that might have just happened.

Based on this Twitter post, we know it actually happened. (That’s Joel’s cat and studio.)
It’s probably too early to tell what actually went down when Prydz came over to visit, but we don’t think we’re alone in hoping that it ended up in some studio time.
