Speaker of the House has had a pretty quiet year so far in terms of putting out original content – despite a slew of hit remixes for artists such as Galantis, Rebecca & Fiona, Dada Life, and more. Two days ago he returned with his first single in over a year which hopefully will prove a catalyst to even more Speaker of the House material.
Named after Speaker of the House’s, or Dylan Orvell, guitar, “Redwood” is the exactly the kind of minimalistic deep house that Dylan Orvell has become known for. Delicate strings and excellent vocal sample manipulation aside, this track displays a certain musical maturity in the restraint that Speaker of the House shows of as the song progresses adding a wonderful new layer of sound to enjoy at every turn.
