Lately, it seems that more and more dance music artists are moving towards live sets as opposed to conventional DJ sets. Is this indicative of EDM-at-large? Or is this going to remain a niche thing? I don’t know, but anyways I’m going on a huge tangent.
UK production duo South Central have been playing the live gig game for some time now so that should be some indication that they’re ahead of the curve and their music more or less reinforces that notion. Their latest single “For Lovers Not Haters” is an aggressive house tune with elements of future bass (suuuper wobbly isn’t it?) and plenty of face-melting bass to boot. Also, get a load of that vocal sample. Once you hear it it’ll pretty much stick in your head all damn day.
