More Fans Launch Personal Injuries Claims Following SHM Phoenix Park Gig

On May 6, after a four year battle, Niall Davey was able to settle a claim with festival organizers of a Swedish House Mafia show for €60,000 in damages. Davey was beaten and stabbed by a group of men at the event.

Now, almost a week later, it has been discovered that 26 other cases regarding personal injuries claims were also filed as a direct result of the event. It is not specified what kind of injuries the claimants reported.

The event at Phoenix Park four years ago, and ensuing attacks on attendees, led to an investigation that resulted in “the establishment of protocols governing the running of any future events in the park.”

In his case, Davey sued multiple parties involved in the event, including MCD Productions, Dunlaoghaire, Co Dublin; Swords Risk Services Limited, Tuam Road, Galway; Eventsec Limited, Queen’s Way, Belfast; Michael N. Slattery & Associates Limited, Lower Pembroke Street, Dublin; and PBM Productions Limited, trading as Diffusion Events, Dunlaoghaire.

The new cases are expected to come for trial before August.
