Sometimes you just need to make a banger. No frills, no rhyme or reason. Just straight up dance floor murdering music. That’s basically the feeling I get from “Back” by Jorgen Odegard. There’s no semblance of high-level musicality here – just a simple vocal hook and a heavy drop.
I spent a lot of time on this one, initially it was just a melody that I had written about a year ago. I pulled it back up and wrote the rest over the last month or so. Ironically, I ended up taking out the initial melody, but I may still use it in another project. If I do, I’ll point it out. I hope this one finds you during festival season.
