Daruma Launches New Label, First Release From Andrew Luce & Graves

Ever since their very first compilation release, record collective Daruma has continued to pioneer an entirely new and bold movement in the underground production circuit. Recruiting contributors from all corners of the bass music spectrum and beyond, the releases that come out of Daruma have begun to attract the attention of some of dance music’s most noteworthy leaders. Co-founded by Andrew Luce, teenage virtuoso and recent Coachella participant, the label now stands as a unique platform for creators of all walks of life to present their best selves to the group’s ever-expanding base of listeners.

Now, following the release of Daruma’s sixth compilation, the collective has finally decided to evolve itself into a full fledged record label. The first release comes, appropriately, from Luce himself alongside producer Graves and vocalist Chelsea Cutler. “Up To You,” seems to defy each of the expected styles from Graves and Luce, and comes as a gentle and simplistic house swayer that relies on euphoric, soaring vocal cuts and a warm rhythm underneath.

Take a listen to Daruma’s premiere release below, and look forward to more content as the weeks roll on.
