Spring Awakening Music Festival Releases Insane Lineup and New Location for 2016!

Chicago summer has to be one of my favorite things to experience, it’s a big reason why moving away from here would be so difficult; from the street fests, to weather, the beaches, and most importantly… the music. This city doesn’t fall short when it comes to the endless music events it holds during its summer months and React Presents knows that all too well. And because of that they undoubtably brought it this year.

Coming back for its 5th year anniversary Spring Awakening Music Festival is bigger and better than ever. After dealing with some unforeseen issues with their original new location they have rallied quickly to be able to accommodate this years fest at a different spot. They have moved the event to Addams/Medill Park, about a 20 minute drive north of where it was first going to be held in Jackson Park. This new location is nestled up against Little Italy and University Village making it much easier to access by public transportation.

Taking place during the second weekend of June (the 10th-12th) Spring Awakening is bringing some major talent to this city with over 100 different artists ranging from every genre of electronic music you could imagine. This year there will be a total of five stages across the park with two main stages, the DJ Stage and the Electronic Stage and then six branded stages (two each day).

The DJ Stage will be host to acts like Above & Beyond, The Chainsmokers, Dillon Francis, Steve Aoki, and Carnage while the Electronic Stage will have Deadmau5, Flux Pavilion, Gesaffelstein, Zeds Dead, and Rezz. Both stages will have even more acts than what was just mentioned to ensure that you’ll never stop moving your feet. You can check out the full lineup as well as get a taste of the curated stages below which include things like Trance Arena, Bass Kitchen, and All Gone Pete Tong!

Spring Awakening will be a highlight for this cities electronic scene this summer as it always has been so you definitely don’t want to miss out! Tickets are on sale now and you can get them at their website, here!
