At the beginning of April, event promoter Goldenvoice was approved plans to expand both their Coachella and Stagecoach music festivals for the upcoming season. A 62,000 person increase was granted by the city of Indio, where both festivals take place annually. With this expansion now set to take place, the events are each set to debut a brand new stage for audience’s to enjoy.
Detailed in a recent report created to track the environmental impact of the festivals on the surrounding area, the new layout of the festivals will see a stage the size of Coachella’s current Outdoor Stage placed far on the other side of the grounds from the Sahara Tent. For each of the festivals, the new stage can be seen in the bottom right corner of the diagram.
