As the release date of Kygo’s debut album, Cloud Nine, draws ever closer, we’re treated to another new single in “I’m In Love.” Featuring vocals from James Vincent McMorrow, the song continues to eschew Kygo’s “tropical house” demeanor and focuses more on being a melodic ballad.
Kygo has made it a point to veer away from tropical house as the style has become noticeably stale as of late. The perception of the genre itself owes more to sandy beaches than major stadium performances where Kygo sees himself playing most recently.
I can definitely see this one getting some sort of romantic music video in the future.
