Entertainment Weekly has revealed that Kygo will be launching his very own radio show, Kygo Radio, beginning May 9 in anticipation of his upcoming album Cloud Nine. The freshman effort from the burgeoning Norwegian act is due out just four days later on May 13. This comes after recent new efforts from Skrillex and deadmau5 with regular Beats 1 appearances.
The show is set to run for only a limited time, two weeks, in fact, ending on 5/20 and will air at 6pm EST on Channel 53 of SiriusXM.
Here’s what Kygo had to say about this new project.
“I’m incredibly excited for my own Kygo Radio channel! SiriusXM has had my back ever since day one when I was making remixes in my dorm room at university, and it means a lot that they’re supporting my music as I prepare to release my debut album, Cloud Nine. I’ll be playing some of my favorite tracks from both the past and present, and most of all, I’m looking forward to playing brand new music from Cloud Nine. I can also promise a few surprises thrown in along the way, so tune in!”
So, be sure to listen in and enjoy the debut of some new Kygo music and whatever other surprises might be in store. We’ll never complain about more new music that is always sure to feature a masterful vocalist in accompaniment. Listen to his latest below:
