Okay, so first a bit of news if you’ve been out of the loop: Chase & Status is releasing their fourth studio album this year. Yeah, I know… we’re psyched, too.
The first single, “Control,” has a huge Prodigy-esque vibe and really sets the stage for the return of their live show. They’ve recently put out their second single, “NRG,” which features a much grimier sound like that heard on the recent mini-project London Bars.
Vocals from Novelist pump up the energy and native UK flair, but it’s the crunchy and raw production from Chase & Status that has my hairs standing on end. There’s no release date or album title yet, but considering we’ve gotten two singles in the past 40 days, I’d say we’re going to be getting it sooner than later.
