Glastonbury Festival announced this morning its first phase of artists for 2016, featuring headlining performances from Muse, Adele, and Coldplay. (Finally, some variety.)
From the dance music realm, we see mainstays Disclosure taking the top billing. Oddly absent is Major Lazer, who has been on nearly every festival lineup we’ve seen for 2016. On the other hand, we’re happy to see Glastonbury reaching out into other realms of dance music, booking the legends Underworld, as well as James Blake, who has a hotly anticipated album expected to come out this year. Other acts include Floating Points, Fatboy Slim, Carl Cox, and Annie Mac.
If you’re hoping to now buy tickets for the festival, unfortunately, all tickets are already sold out. Fortunately, the Glastonbury website notes that “there is likely to be a resale of any cancelled / returned tickets in the spring. To register to be able to buy tickets for Glastonbury, click here.”
