Kygo’s Cloud Nine has an official release date now, and a new single, as well.
Premiered on Zane Lowe’s Beats 1 today and now available on Spotify and Soundcloud is “Fragile” with Labrinth. Done away with is any semblance of that “tropical house” sound that we’ve come to know Kygo for. It seems that the Norwegian producer is using this opportunity to truly eschew that pesky moniker from his brand, and he’s done it in spectacular fashion.
“Fragile” is more of a rock ballad than anything remotely EDM, and fans and non-fans alike should be sufficiently surprised by the sound. Check it out below and pre-order Cloud Nine here.
