Richie Hawtin Embarks on New Tour, Developing Exciting New DJing Tech

Just yesterday famed DJ Richie Hawtin took to the road for his new tour in honor of PLAYdifferently, a new brand bringing innovative technology to the music scene that he and British product-developer Andy Rigby-Jones have felt was missing. This new venture was first announced at NAMM, the National Association of Music Merchants, event in California this past January (which you can watch below in the announcement video).

This new mixer of theirs is nearing completion after going through a multitude of versions and live tests at places like ENTER.Ibiza, Glastonberry Festival, and BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix. But now it’s time to see what it can really do, which is why Richie has decided to embark on the Prototypes Tour with different accompanying artists at each location. Hitting a total of thirteen cities over the course of the next few months this new piece of technology is going to be putting in a lot of work and we can’t wait to see what it does.

For a more in-depth explanation of what Playdifferently really is and what this mixer can do be sure to watch the video provided below.

For tickets and more info to be able to catch this tour you can check out the Playdifferently website.
