The inevitable question has arisen. With deadmau5 playing the ‘A State Of Trance’ stage at Ultra Music Festival this coming weekend, the horde and non-fans alike have been left wondering what, in fact, the Canadian producer will be playing for his set.
Well, the mau5 has an answer… but we can’t quite tell if it’s sarcastic or serious speculation.

We have to be honest, an hour of black metal performed on the ASOT stage at Ultra 2016 would be mildly hilarious and would absolutely break the internet. But we are hoping, earnestly, that Zimmerman pulls out a whole slew of new music for the highly anticipated performance instead. If you recall, he had quite a few tricks up his sleeve for his Ultra performance in 2014 including an “Old MacDonald” version of Martin Garrix‘s breakout hit “Animals.” And, while that performance was unprecedented as a fill-in for Avicii‘s last-minute cancellation due to health problems, this has been set in stone for some time yet.
So, cross your fingers and join in hope with us that deadmau5 shows up in full and blows us all away.
