It’s still almost a full month until NGHTMRE’s highly anticipated debut EP, NGHTMRE, is released on 3/25. In order to tide you over for the next few weeks, we’ve got the exclusive premiere of another one of the tracks off the EP, “Hold Me Close.”
Contrary to many of the harder tracks that he’s put out, “Hold Me Close” falls closer to the heaven trap style that he started with Slander so many moons ago. Chopped vocals and a melodic top line carry the tune throughout, leading to a more swaying style of dancing than trap arms out – and there’s nothing wrong with that.
“I’m a sucker for melodic tracks, so I tried to really make something that’s uplifting and energetic but still maintains a lot of musicality to it.” – NGHTMRE
