There May Still Be Some Magic Left From Jack Ü

Looks like a couple members of the Jack Ü dream team are set to reveal a previously unreleased track, according to reports from Billboard. This time it’s Diplo and Justin Bieber that will be bringing a new rap track into the fold. This is an especially focused-on fusion of genres, with collaborations like these raking in everything from huge success to reactions that are downright embarrassing if the two artists don’t catch the vibe. For instance, we could recall how once upon a time a single track like “Do Or Die,” with Flux Pavilion and Childish Gambino, became an instant summer banger. And how could we forget when Zeds Dead took EDM by storm with Omar LinX’s rhymes in “Jackie Boy” leading the charge?

So clearly there’s potential here. Also, with the Grammy Award scoring success of “Where Are Ü Now” and Diplo’s recent Brit Award wins for “Lean On,” this new track will definitely be one to watch out for. But the question still stands, did Diplo and Bieber nail it? Only time will tell. Recent comments didn’t reveal much, but it seems like this summer will be the ideal window to send off this track.

And while Diplo is interviewing with his other Major Lazer members, it’s difficult to say whether he’s using “we” to refer to his dancehall group or his collaboration with Skrillex. He mentions “Where Are Ü Now” in the interview, so it could almost go either way.
