An interesting thing to note about KOLAJ is that this whole time they’ve continually maintained their image of being an electronic “band” rather than an “act” or “duo” or whatnot and in many ways to me that makes perfect sense. They make the kind of euphoric music you’d associate with indie pop/indie rock but with a huge electronic twist – look no further than their latest release with Quinn XCII if you’re unconvinced.
Pop/house crossover seems to be all the rage lately and with a featured vocalist like Quinn XCII on the cut it looks like KOLAJ have found the percept recipe for success. The production pairs nicely with the vocals with the abundance of different drum kicks and loops providing a solid backbone to Quinn’s soaring vocals. Pick it up on iTunes here!
