Australia’s Flume is arguably one of the top producers in the game right now, supported by a vast and loyal fanbase and almost every major name in electronic music. His sophomore studio album, Skin, is set to be released this year, and the community is eagerly waiting; he released a teaser of the album about a month ago and it has nearly 2 million plays already. And it seems the album is right around the corner, as Flume was caught dropping a few unreleased gems during his set at Laneway Festival in his hometown, Sydney. Fans also got to catch the debut of his new ‘Infinity Cube’ stage design, making this set one for the books for those who were able to witness it.
The first track below, uploaded by YouTube user Moto Maji, features a lengthy intro and build-up full of ambient synths and arpeggiated chords, which successfully hype the crowd up before culminating in a massive drop that can only be described as having that classic Flume sound.
Another video, uploaded by user Dylan Esguerra, has surfaced, showing yet another unreleased Flume track from the same set. This one features a “Tennis Courts” influenced sound, full of those wave-y future bass synths Flume has come to master. He transitions the new material into “Insane“, a familiar favorite from his self-titled debut album that had the crowd singing along and cheering.
