How Oliver Heldens Is Stepping Up His Game in 2016

At 21-years-old, Oliver Heldens has already done more in a few years than many people are able to accomplish in a lifetime. To put that into perspective, most of the 21-year-olds in America are excited about being able to drink legally, while Oliver Heldens, on the other hand, is playing a balancing act with his career and his record label, Heldeep Records, while trying to move the needle with his alter-ego, HI-LO. Even though Oliver has already established himself as an international superstar, the Dutch youngster is primed to take his career to new heights in 2016, and we can’t wait to see what he does.

Oliver Heldens’ global domination started in 2013 with the release of “Gecko (Overdrive)” and “Last All Night (Koala),” just two out of his impressive number of chart-topping releases. These tracks started a movement that swept across the global dance music scene, eventually paving the way for the emergence of future house, which has proved that it is here to stay.

Last year, Heldens continued his rise to global prominence, launching his very own dance imprint, Heldeep Records, in addition to debuting his bass house side project, HI-LO. In addition to making waves as HI-LO, the dance luminary continued his run of chart-dominating releases, collaborating with dance icons like Tiesto on “Wombass.” While he’s not in the studio, Heldens has spent his time spreading his brand of groove-driven future house, taking over the main stage of festivals like EDC Las Vegas, Ultra, and Tomorrowland, in addition to embarking on his own tour in Asia to close the year.

2016 promises to be more of the same for Oliver Heldens, as he is looking to, once again, step it up to new heights. He kicked off the year with an early song-of-the-year contender, teaming up with the progressive house up-and-comer, Throttle, on a dirty disco track called “Waiting,” and Tiesto on “The Right Song.” Now, he’s just days away from setting off on his first-ever bus tour across North America. Even though he may already be a superstar, Oliver has continually proved time and time again that the sky is the ceiling for the Dutch maestro. Tickets to Oliver Heldens’ bus tour are available for purchase here.
