A coroner’s official stated today that the death of 18-year-old Tracy Nguyen at HARD Summer last year was due to ecstasy “intoxication.” No other drugs were mentioned in the toxicology report.

HARD Summer 2015 was held at the Fairgrounds in Pomona where 65,000 attendees were able to see The Chemical Brothers, Ratatat, Jack Ü and more.

Katie Dix, a 19-year-old from Camarillo, also died after the event. LA Weekly reports the “cause of death in Dix’s case is still unknown as her toxicology report has not been completed, the coroner’s official said.”

In light of these events, HARD was forced to put a 40,000 attendee cap on their annual Halloween festival Day Of The Dead, as well as raise the minimum age to 21. No deaths were reported.
