“I’m not a rockstar, and I certainly don’t profess to be. I live a very normal life and come from a very normal family. But these worlds exist completely separately…and the hardest part, is tying them together.”
Mark Knight is some sort of superman. It’s no secret 2015 was an incredible year for the Toolroom CEO/DJ/Artist/Dad, with massive performances all over (Ibiza, ADE), as well as a successful string of productions, including some big ones with good friend, Adrian Hour.
To kick off the new year, Knight has announced a brand new project, ‘A Year In The Life’, highlighting his work in 2015 musically, all the while supporting a good cause. It’s the culmination of both an album and film, with the single intent to be giving something back. Not just to his fans, but on a much wider scale, with all proceeds being donated to the charity War Child.
The documentary is absolutely riveting, giving an exclusive glimpse into both Mark’s love for music, but also devotion to his family. When he’s not touring, he’s in the studio. When he’s not in the studio, he’s spending quality time with his son, the soon to be house-prodigy, Rupert.
If there’s one thing I took away from this, it’s that Mark’s hours of sleep per night is something that would horrify most. Yet, this doesn’t stand in the way of being on top of his game for his fans and his family, giving me an even higher respect for the integrity and dedication of this man.
‘A Year In The Life’ is a inspiring project that we stand behind 100%, and we hope you do too. Check out the documentary and be sure to order yourself a copy below!
