I’m not sure if people know this, my colleagues here at YourEDM most definitely do, but I’m a huge Jamie xx fan to the point where I almost refuse to listen to any remixes of any of In Colour‘s singles. That said I came across this remix by CLOUDCHORD which left me surprisingly impressed.
“Loud Places” is probably one of my favourite singles of 2015 so I’m always extra picky when I come across any interpretations of the single, but I think this one by CLOUDCHORD definitely elevated the track to another level. Unlike most other interpretations, CLOUDCHORD strayed away from tackling the minimalistic aspect of “Loud Places”, but instead chose to embrace the ‘maximalist’ nature of the chorus and infuse that bold energy into the entire track creating a wonderful new deep house remix indeed.
