Damian Malolepszy of Shropshire, England, 29, has been sentenced to six years of jail time following the death of multiple people from supposedly laced ‘Superman’ ecstasy pills that he sold them.
His official charges were reported as “being concerned in the supply of Class A drugs,” which is thought to be linked to the death of 27-year-old Daniel Bagnall last year, as well as three counts of possessing Class A and B substances. He was found not guilty on a count of supplying Class A drugs. A further investigation into Bagnall’s death will take place this year.
A Shrewsbury Crown Court judge said that Malolepszy will be deported back to Poland after serving his time.
The ‘Superman’ ecstasy pills in question have been given the nicknames “Death,” “Dr. Death” and “Killer” in the past, due in part to their fatal effects on 19-year-old Georgina Bartter in 2014 and three men in Suffolk last year. The drug, known as paramethoxymethamphetamine (PMMA), is often mistaken for MDMA or ecstasy because of its resemblance to other pressed pills and the process used to create them.
