So here’s a style of bass house I haven’t heard before, which is always refreshing.
Niko The Kid takes “Blackout Blinds” by Taim and works it into some kind of interesting specimen, that’s for sure. Forgetting the infectious vocals for a moment, as if that was even possible, the subtle and pervasive hi hats throughout the track are probably the most noticeable element… oh, besides the absolutely ridiculous drop.
For something so simple, Niko has taken the original synths, put them through some fantastic effects, and out came this bouncy and dancey drop that just begs you to hit the dancefloor.
