At a time when the dance music scene is inundated with what seems to be the exact same lineup for every festival, it is always refreshing to see a lineup that challenges the status quo. Several noteworthy festivals that challenge the status quo include SnowGlobe in Lake Tahoe, CRSSD in San Diego, Lightning in a Bottle in Southern California, and Buku in New Orleans. Joining the ranks in 2016 is one you might not be familiar with just yet, Get Lucky in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Long-standing Salt Lake City-based promotions company, V2 Presents, continues to prove their knack for versatility and innovation with the the release of their Get Lucky lineup. Even though the headliners include festival regulars Adventure Club, Bingo Players, and Cosmic Gate…did you get a glimpse of the rest of the lineup? If you’re a true dubstep, drum n’ bass, and hardstyle fan there’s a good chance some of these names will ring a bell. If you’re not, well then it’s time to learn.
Barely Alive, the dubstep duo hailing from Massachusetts have been on a meteoric rise the last two years after successful releases on Never Say Die Records, Disciple Recordings, Datsik’s Firepower Records, and now OWSLA. Two other members of the Disciple Recordings family are UK duo, Astronaut, and drum n’ bass/riddim legend Dodge & Fuski. In addition, melodic dubstep producer Xilent, and hard dance producers Lady Faith and Technoboy will be gracing the stage as well. Last, but certainly not least is the recognizable name, San Holo who has been hitting over 1 million plays on his latest trap and future bass releases. So many great up-and-comers will be playing this festival.
