Traveling to Porto Maravilha for its eighth edition, Rio Music Conference is South America’s largest electronic dance music gathering. While its roots are in Rio de Janeiro, RMC travels throughout Brasil to aggregate the best news and content in the scene, squashing exciting discussion in between the best parties of the year. Adding value to public spaces, global branding, and leveraging events for content are just a few examples of panels to expect from the event, and several masterclasses and workshops will be held to instigate discussion amongst attendees.
2016’s conference will be taking place from January 27th – 29th, set inside the beautiful new Praça Mauá art museum and Museu do Amanhã. And right next door, Rio Music Carnival is slated to close the ceremonies from February 5th – 9th. Similar to North America’s WMC, the conference also hosts Club Week to merge the industry’s day and nightlife, giving attendees access to 24 clubs throughout Rio, Sao Paulo, and Curitiba, including OO, Antoinette, Matrix House, Warehouse 102, and Maron Space.
