Fresh off a year that featured multiple Beatport chart-topping releases and a number of massive world tours, EDX is already off to a great start in 2016 with the release of “Missing,” his first original of the year. Last year, which marked the 20th year of EDX’s career, was arguably the Swiss dance authority’s biggest year to date, as he garnered over 60 million plays on SoundCloud for his remix of Sam Feldt’s “Show Me Love.” The Italian native is ready to turn it up a notch for 2016, and “Missing” marks the latest release in a line of chart-topping tracks.
The vocals from “Missing” may sound familiar at first listen, and that is because it is a modern-day re-make of an old-school classic – “Missing” by Everything but the Girl. Tabbing the up-and-coming singer-songwriter, Mingue, for vocals, EDX gives “Missing” some present-day production with soft, thumping synth stabs and a groovy bass line.
