Rising producer Lege Kale recently uploaded his latest remix alongside Masego, this time in the form of a deadly and jazz-centered hip hop flip of Drake’s “Jungle.” Using Masego’s masterful saxophone prowess and his own polished arrangement of percussion, Lege Kale is able to add mountains of soul and swagger to the already capable vocals. It begins with cascading plucks and sharp percussion scrapes as the vocals slowly gain ground. A tight bell leads into the main verse, where a powerful and dynamic kick/sub combination flows gracefully under Masego’s saxophone trills and riffs. The vocals hold steady throughout the length of the song, as the instruments build and fall several times to create contrast. It ends with Drake’s echoing voice and a final ballad between the plucks and sax.
