Cazztek, the freshest name in the deluge of anonymous producer/DJs, releases his newest track “Lifted” today on Hysteria Records. The no-face producer has only been active for a little over five months, yet has managed to already gain support from some of the biggest names in dance music like Dillon Francis, Bingo Players and Kill The Noise.
His (or her?) newest track is a fresh interpretation on the bass house sound of 2015, with a bit of a future twist – a familiar drop and rhythm are interrupted by fresh synth work and a bold vocal cut that sets it apart from the pack.
The accompanying music video is an amalgam of trippy visuals, always with the focus on keeping your attention, never repeating for too long.
Cazztek doesn’t wear a traditional mask on stage to hide his identity. Rather, it’s reflective. Cazztek wants the audience to see a “representation” of themselves on stage, in a way. It’s strangely poetic and deep for what we’re used to in EDM-land, but we’re definitely open to the idea.
