Not much brightens up a Friday afternoon like an utterly euphoric piece of soul music. Today’s comes courtesy of classically trained house producer and DJ Sam Halabi, who displays real talent with his take on the great Aretha Franklin’s ‘A Deeper Love.’
The production work here is just brilliant; he doesn’t take any of the energy away from the original – instead driving those surging vocals into action with use of darting, rhythmically assured piano chords and a snappily funky beat that is maintained from start to finish.
