Good afternoon bassheads! Welcome back to another new episode of West Coast Wednesday! This week we’ll be showcasing our favorite new underground releases from some of the west coasts finest, so let’s get started.
First up is this insane new mix from one of my personal favorites, Bleep Bloop. Whenever I think of this guy, his set during Symbiosis comes rushing back to me and I still get chills. This mix also features an absurd amount of deliciously crunchy, bass heavy, thugged out vibes from other well known artists in the scene like Noer the Boy, G Jones, and The OriGinALz. Truly west coast bass at its grittiest, craziest, most neck-snappingly awesome form. You definitely want this one.
This next one is a doozy. This time the high flying trap music duo of Seatalite AMF and New Yorks Blvk Sheep get one hell of a speaker knocker from Baltimore local Kayoh. Another perfect example of what happens when you get both coasts putting in work. Fantastic!
Speaking of collabs, bass house lovers are in for a really epic treat with this next one. Los Angeles native Nukid has gone the f*ck in with Sao Paolo resident Bashh for one seriously epic jam that is guaranteed to rock your socks clean off. That face scrunching electro bassline, next to classic G house vocals and that slap happy kick pattern is exactly what I needed this morning, and will need several more time before the day is through. Try to listen to this and not dance, I dare you.
We’re kicking ourselves for missing this last week, but Sherm Germ released a new EP!! One of our most recent and nastiest discoveries over the past few months, this Seattle native pulls no punches when it comes to the weirder, darker side of bass music. It’s for this reason that he’s quickly become a favorite around the office. Don’t sleep on this new release, it’s all kinds of tasty.
Now were taking it back to the bae area where Sayer has just dropped a dope ass preview on us. This awesome new jammer, “Rainsong,” comes to us as just one of the many tracks that are forthcoming on the highly anticipated new Saturate Records compilation. Rumor has it that it will drop right around the same time Half Life 3 gets confirmed.
Last but certainly not least is one hell of a compilation from the good people at Daruma. For those who don’t know, this label’s roster is full of heavy hitters from the west coast and beyond, including such rising stars as Andrew Luce, Quix, Hati, and more – all of whom make an appearance on this monster compilation. If you love your future bass and trapstyle, and we know you do, don’t hesitate to pick this one up.
That’s all for this week bassheads, see you next week!
