Cooda and Boy Bishop have been brewing their own brand of house for a while now, and the simmering result is finally here. Released via Pantheon, their newest concoction is a lumbering wompasaurus named “Nitro.”
Right off, a delectable kick courses through the veins of this track. Spacious synthesis loaded with metric shit-tons of reverb drives home a devious atmosphere, and subtle percussion traces the ominous rhythm. The arrangement then leans into a sequence of cavernous drips before landing into a half-timed breakdown for some welcome variety.
